Keith is back shortly carrying the kitten in Tigers hat. His other hand glued to his hip to keep his towel up. He seems intent on heading right back into the shower with the cat.

"Keith." Nathan's trying very hard not to sound alarming, but he doesn't sound happy, either. "Where exactly are you taking that poor little kitten?"

He stops dead, a dog that knows he's disappointed someone but doesn't yet know what they did. He tries smiling to appease. " The shower?"

Keith's golden retriever smile isn't going to work this time! But it is so very charming~
Nathan catches himself mid-melt and hikes up his towel like he means business, stomping somehow gracefully over to Keith and the kitten. "It's not a dog, Keith, you can't give it a shower~" His voice dips into growl territory. "Unless you like to bleed...?"
Oh dear sweet God, must...not...think too hard on that possibility...

The smiles wavers but stays, eyebrows lifting innocently. "Why?"
" It's so small I don't think it can hurt me." After all, John doesn't always want a shower but Keith manages him and he's much bigger than this kitten.

Nathan squeezes his eyes shut and pinches the bridge of his nose briefly. How has this man lived to early adulthood...?
"Cats don't like the water, Keith," he explains, as patiently as he can. His eye's only twitching a little! "You must be gentle with it, or it'll just run out on you."
A virgin analogy probably wouldn't be much help here, he decides.
Nathan gestures over to the sink. "You ought to find it a nice soft cloth and clean it gently. It'll feel just like Mommy's tongue!" he adds brightly, leaning in to give the kitten a little scritch under the chin.

He looks over at the sink as Nathan speaks, processing. "Okay." He seems to understand and retreats to his locker for one of his own wash clothes and shampoo, adjusts his towel so it will stay without hands, and brings the kitten to the sink. Ready!

He sighs heavily in relief, that Keith seems to at least understand the importance of keeping the kitten out of the shower, but he's still hovering a little nervously. And possibly for good reason.
"That's human shampoo, Keith, don't use that," he chides, peering over the other Hero's shoulder.

He pouts, he thought he had been doing it right this time. "This is what I use on John..."

Nathan makes a face. "Pet shampoo would be better..." He waves at the faucet and the washcloth huffily. "Try just water first, see if that works."

"Oookay!" He accepts the direction, and cat in hat in one had he uses the other to run the water warm and get the clothe wet. Ah, well he shouldn't get Tiger's cool hat wet. He deposits the cat in the sink and hopes it'll stay while he starts wiping the soot off. It mewls hideously at the attention.

Oh? It sounds upset. Nathan leans in closer, inspecting the way Keith's rubbing at the kitten. "Mou~ You're doing it way too hard!" With a towel-wrapped hip, he nudges the blonde out of the way and snatches at the washcloth. "Give that over!"

His hands are up helplessly as if he can still do something. "I...I'm sorry."

Nathan makes a dismissive noise under his breath and begins stroking the kitten's head to calm it. "It's not your big dog, it's just a baby," he explains, more patient now that things are in his hands--literally. "You need to be gentle, watch." He cups a hand around the kitten's belly and with the other begins gently rubbing at its back.

"OH!" Keith crowds back up to the sink to watch the process attentively.
