Road was alone. He was often alone though. As a solo operative( or a "does not play well with others.") he usually ended up in empty parts of the battle field, parted from him comrades and searching out straggling or flanking Autobots to take down.
He was having a little trouble today. Not just that he was having trouble finding a fight all afternoon. But that now he has found himself one.
It's just not one he's sure he can handle. His enemies were faster than him and they were strong. he was stuck, a Yellow racing jacket to one side, a red one to the other, and a rock at his back.
If he wasn't so stubborn he might ping Jack...but fuck that. Chainsaws roar to life, daring the pair of them to come closer. He wasn't going anywhere without ripping them apart on his way down.
"Tsk tsk tsk." Sunstreaker made the sound as he prowled to one side of their target.
"He's gonna try to fight us. Sides. All alone. He must be stupid cause he doesn't look strong."
Well he didn't look weak either but it's not the most intimidating thing to tell your target that they appear to be reasonably strong.

Much of the landscape by the bases were open rock and hard packed dirt, any clinging plant life scoured in the blasts that left pockmarks in the ground. The battle of machines tuned to the function of war did a hard number on the landscape, and any nearby human settlements had been moved long ago out of the common blast ranges. Decepticons didn't care about collateral, and sometimes Autobots couldn't afford to, so it was a barren place.
It left little to hide and little to get in their way, and the dirt, while it mucked up tires and caught in greats, was awesome for trying to punch the oil outta some stupid 'Con stuck way out where he didn't belong.
"Look at 'em! S'like those small fuzzy things, thinks he's all hot stuff," Sideswipe commented, ambling easily to the other side of their new piece of fun. He easily hefty his guns, and the two of them made an unconcious team as they pulled a pincer move on the idiot. "Hey! Hey, don't I know you?" He pointed one gun at the 'Con. "You little diphead, you're the one Jazz ripped a new one in! Hah, look, he wants seconds!"

His arms snapped up to point double barrels at each body when a gun was pointed his way. But he smiled easy for Sideswipe " You remember me?" and he had the gall to wink.
"Jazz tricked me, I wasn't expecting him. I'm more than ready for you idiots." Yes Jazz did trick him. But Jazz also outright kicked his ass.
Sunstreaker couldn't see the wink from his angle, and well that he didn't or Road would have payed for the gesture.
"What a big talker acting like he stood any chance against Jazz. At least he didn't surrender, been a while before we could tear one apart." Sunstreaker smirked and Road, maintaining his aim on the yellow fighter, replied by simply rotating his arm to to throw a finger up in salute. As close as Autobots are to humans, he's sure Sunny'll get his meaning.

The chainsaws matched with guns were kinda a neat touch, but Sideswipe wasn't in the mood to be impressed. His optics narrowed at gesture one and two, but Sunstreaker always knew the right thing to say. "All talk and no game, I think," Sides suggested, rolling his shoulders in anticipation of getting his hands on the little piece of scrap. "What'd'ya say, Sunny? One arm each?"

Sunstreaker sneered at the human gesture as he lurked in closer. "Sounds alright to me, Sides. Poor bastard doesn't know what he's in for."
It's not as if Road hasn't fought two or more opponents at once before. He even wins those often. But it's not often that more than one of the combatants has any skill to speak of. His reaction would be abnormal for the situation if he were anyone once else. But he's Roadrash, and so he laughed. He laughed and his gaze flicked between the two brothers.
"Really, you need to fight both at once to take me on? I'm flattered~"

Sideswipe smirked as he spun the gun in his hand, gaze intent. "You just get a two for one special," he replies, annoyed, "Besides, why keep you all to myself? Seems you enjoy being two timed anyway."

Sunstreaker is the bigger danger but his eyes keep sliding back to Sideswipe. "Oh?" He smiled, friendly. " What would give you such an idea?"
Sunstreaker's growing impatient with the talk, he hasn't drawn his gun but his hands are fisted, ready to bodily take the Con down. He's trying to contain himself, eyebrows raised to his brother. Are we done talking with this worthless piece of slag yet?

Sideswipe's optics slid to his brother and he gave an imperceptible little nod, his finger sliding over the trigger of his gun. "No more pointless talk. Time for a little fun!"
He dove to one side, firing off a few shots to drag off the stupid 'Con's attention. He wasn't feeling like pulling any punches today.

Sunstreaker moved in time with Sideswipe and Road was forced into a defense, unable to even dodge and make them hit each other...they seemed to be intimately aware of each others positions. Shots were fired at Sunny, but Armor had to be pulled up in defense against Sideswipes fire power. Ah hahaha...he was screwed.

Roadrash had no chance against the ultimate double-team duo, especially when one of them had a chip on his shoulder about it. Sideswipe liked a sporting chance in a battle, but between Sunny's fists and his shots, Roadrash had to look in about two ways at once.
It all went down hill once Sideswipe could get his hands in and start punching at his face.

Road had no chance. Not that he didn't put up a fight, he did. Both brothers were bleeding by the time they had Road battered into the ground, his ammunition spent and armor bent to hinder his saws.
Sunny was out of breath, bleeding from the mouth and a few shallow bullet wounds, but grinning victorious. He kicked the unconscious body and chuckled.
" Fucking idiot. We take out seekers and he really thought he had a chance. C'mon Sides, let's get out here, there's more fight to get to."

Sideswipe had really gotten into the swing of things punching Road's face, enjoying the way the optics flickered and died. Fight was a sport, sure, but the little snitch had been a pain in the aft where he couldn't get to him behind heavy bars of energy. No such limitations here. It made him feel better, even if Road had managed to score a long rip through his chest metal with one of those saws and dent him in a few places.
He got to his feet and stretched. "Ha! Yeah, little oilstain. Let's leave 'em for the 'Con's to find, easier then dragging his sorry tail back to base and then we'll get the lectures all over again."

Sunstreaker nodded " Yeah, don't need Ratchet on us about how we gotta treat prisoners of war. But if he's not a prisoner it's not a problem." The situation worked out perfectly for him, a decent beating on a con and no lectures? Yes, perfect. He carried himself with a pleased swagger, back out into what battle was left to be had and away from the broken con.

Sideswipe took one last potshot at Road's body and followed Sunny back out into where the real excitement took place, out on the field.
That didn't mean, though, that their communications feeds were closed. Or that they couldn't be monitored. Or that a small bot with a drifting attention span couldn't idly monitor the entire battle from a small corner of Teletrann-1 through a secure connection he wasn't supposed to have.
A few clicks of unconciousness, and Road would feel a jolt as something plugged into his system and forced a hard reboot. There were fingers on his shoulders and a weight on his chest, accompanied by the light hum of cycled air.

Roads body jerked and he inhaled sharply. There was a panic first, he should be fighting, something is on him, he has to fight! But his system was sluggish and he was in pain. So he groaned instead, took a tally of his obvious damage, and finally opened his eyes to acess the situation.
