Their doors open at noon, which for Nathan means he's already been here two hours, making sure his employees are set up and the club is ready to accept customers. His catchers are already outside, ready to coax the unenlightened masses inside.
Day after day, for several years now, he's watched these doors open, either from just inside the dimly lit club or from the comfort of his office, missing days only when being a Hero has kept him from it. And day after day from now on he'll do the same thing.
But the nice thing about this business, as with being a Hero, is that things are never the same. Being low on boys has been keeping him on his toes for weeks now. With his first newest addition to his employee roster in a long time, however, he's not sure the extra help is going to spare him any more work or offer him any extra time.
But Nathan's always been one to see the potential in some of the boys who come to him for work. This one has been by no means an exception.

Nicolas eyed up the building for a long moment, he all but ignored the catchers, wearing a scowl in attempt to keep them at bay while he considered. This did not seem ideal...but they did need work.
He's made his decision and steps inside. He's dressed well in a fit charcoal suit; though he wears it open. With a dark rusty shirt underneath. He's built thin and tall. His hair is back but not overly greased so that strands escape from time to time and have to be pushed back and it won't lay flat in the back.
All he carries is a worn black case at his side. Its to large to be a briefcase but their are no exterior clues to what it might actually be besides a metal plaque engraved with "Constellation".
He gives the inside of the place a looking over.
Bastards better appreciate the shit he does for them.

Nathan happens to be in his office when Nicolas walks in, but there's a secretary filling in a form at her desk just inside the door as he enters, pausing every once in a while to chew on the end of her pen between colored lips. She pauses upon his entrance, then slips the pen behind her ear.
"Welcome to the Fundoshi Club," she states, the well-worn words leaving her mouth smoothly. He's unfamiliar to her and looks a little uncomfortable, so she assumes he's new to the club's scene. "Can I help you find what you're looking for, sir?"

The secretary gets a short assessing look when smiles and speaks. He's not exactly bad with women, but he certainly doesn't have his partners natural charm.
" Yes, my dear. I'm hoping the owner might be in. I'd like to inquire about a job."

She only very briefly raises a bleached blonde eyebrow at him. She knows they're short on employees, but this is the second person in a week who's come in asking to see Nathan in person. It's not exactly standard practice.
"Normally," she explains, just the slightest bit pointedly, "you'll have to fill in an application and return it so Nathan-san can go over it. Is there a particular reason you need to speak with him directly?" The honey-brown contacts coloring her eyes make them look sharper than usual as she glances up at him, not smiling back. "As you may or may not be aware, he's very busy."
Of course she's pretty sure this early in the day, in the middle of the week, Nathan's not likely to have much on his plate. But did he really expect to just waltz in here and speak with the owner unannounced...?

Of course that's what he thought, he's dumb like that and had been only walking the streets looking for likely places today.
"I understand, I don't think I plan on applying for what would be a normal position here. I can come back another time? I just happened to be around here now."

After a moment of staring at him with unamused eyes, she rolls them and releases an exaggerated sigh. "Hold on."
She lifts the phone receiver from its cradle on her desk and with long, dark blue acrylic nails, she punches in a number.
"...Nathan? Did you put an ad in the paper or something?" ... "Because there's someone here to see you, and there's no appointment. How am I supposed to--" ...
She peers at Nicolas from beneath convincing false eyelashes. "What did you say your name was?" she asks, not bothering to cover the bottom half of the phone.

One of those bleached eyebrows raises again as she mouths the name in disbelief.
Maybe he thinks this is some other kind of club...??
"Nicolas," she repeats into the phone, slowly. "...Martini."
Whatever the response is at the other end of the line makes her scowl. "You like that? Nathan-san, this isn't a str--"
...
"...Fine. FINE, I said!" She starts digging in a drawer with her free hand. "Honestly, tell me when you post ads, it's--....you didn't? What the hell is all this then? ... Ooooo...!" With a vengeance, she slams the phone down with the one hand and whips out an application with the other, which she half-shoves at Nicolas.
"Here." She rises, pointing into the depths of the club. "His office is through the dining area; there'll be a door on your left just past the bar." She considers asking if he knows the owner's full name, but decides against it. If he does, great; if not, it's his own fault for not doing the proper research.

His smile drops away at the reaction to his name. Yes he knows it's not exactly normal but damn..it's not that bad is it?
He accepts the application and the directions and steps away. Oh..what fun she would be to work with.
"Thanks..."
He makes his way back to the indicated door and knocks.

There's a pause, and then from the speaker below the button comes, "Nicolas? Come on up, hmm?"
The voice sounds pleased, as if he's about to be treated to something delightfully amusing.
The door will open to a short set of stairs, at the end of which will be another closed door with a simple five-pointed star carved into it.

What...exactly was he thinking, coming into this club in the first place he wondered. He was just going to embarrass himself probably and still have no gig for the band.
He followed the short staircase to the next door. He did already say to come in didn;t he? So he just knocks and opens the door.
"Uh, Hello?"

Waiting for him in the midst of--is this really an office?!--is the owner of the club, pink hair and flamboyant clothes and all, seated behind his desk with an elbow propped up on its glossy black surface, his angular chin in a well-formed hand, and a very cat-like smile on his prominent, paled lips. It's just that the desk is made of this jet-black mahogany wood and carved into suggestive figures--all the furniture is, from the empty chair in front of it to the bookshelves and cabinets that line the room. Unlit candles dot the empty surfaces and here and there a wisp of red feather or a strap of black leather can just be made out, as if to venture further would find one in a world of...well, other-worldly delights. Or terrors. Depending on why one's here.
"Come in," he urges, lifting his head so his hand is free to wave--beckon, would be more accurate--Nick in. "Please, do come in, have a seat. Nicolas Martini, was it? What a positively delightful name!"
