"Oh, no." Nathan shakes his head slowly, once. "That won't do. I'll need you to play here for me, if you could." The atmosphere is completely different; he'll never get a feel for their compatibility with his place if he watches them elsewhere.
Not that he won't consider going to see them in this other place, though. It just won't be their deciding performance.

"Oh." He nodded. "That's fine. I'm sure I can arrange it." It's not like they have anyplace else to be... "If you give me a number to contact you at? I can talk to the boys and see when everyone's good to go."

"Of course." Nathan nods, his hands already moving to draw a piece of paper from a drawer in his desk and pull a pen out of God knows where. He scribbles down a number quickly and hands the paper to Nick, the digits neat but perhaps surprisingly blocky. "Here you are. If you can't get ahold of me, please leave a message with Chanel." He pauses, indicating his secretary downstairs with a well-manicured finger. "She can be...difficult, sometimes. I hope she didn't give you too much trouble."

"Oh, no not to much..." He leans forward to take the paper from Nathan and stand. "Thank you I...appreciate you giving us a chance. You should hear from me soon."

Nathan smiles, warmly. For all he may be startling at first, at least that is a little bit of comfort, of normalcy. "I look forward to it."
He stands as well. "Will you be able to find your way out?" It's not difficult, but...common courtesy.

"Oh yes, I don't think I'll have a problem. and thank you again." With that Nicolas Martini was on his way. He was mix of pleased as punch with potentially scoring the boys a job; and a souring stomach anticipating reactions to where he potentially got them a job.

It's his first 'real' day at work; the other one didn't really count. Well, it did, technically, but there's a real difference between Nathan watching him closely on a set-up and Nathan leaving him to start working through the club's mechanics on his own. This is the real thing. He can handle this.
Or he could, if he'd stop goddamn bumping into people. James throws up his hands when he barely avoids a collision with a young man who just came trotting around a corner too fast to see coming. "Oh! Pardon, pardon, excuse me."

Nick startled back from the almost collision, clutching his case back to avoid it getting jostled as much to avoid hitting someone with it. He almost snaps at the kid but holds his tongue in time. He has to take a deep breath before hand but he keeps his cool. "It's fine...my fault."

"No, no, no, entirely mine." He bows, to be on the safe side. "I'm so sorry, Mister...?"

He relaxes again, letting his case back down to his position at his side. " Nick...my name is Nick."
He's really not up for for criticism over his name today.

"Nick." A smile blossoms on his broad, earnest face. He's dressed subtly for work, but any attempt at downplaying himself is lost in the glow of strawberry-blonde, American-bred nobility that his face and form display. Without asking, he takes Nick's hand, shaking it firmly. "James Hawthorne, at your service." He smiles. It's a deadly smile. It promises daisy chains and courtly bows and knightly kisses to the hand, if engaged.

Nick lags a second in surprise before he's able to shake the hand back. Does this kid work here then. He supposes it would be a good idea to know the workers here but...he's not sure he likes the look he's being given. He should probably clarify his purpose here before he's tempted to smack the guy off of him.
"Ah, it's nice to meet you James. I was just on my way out, but maybe I'll see you again sometime."

"Have a wonderful day, then!" James beams, folds at the waist like paper. "Hope to see you again."
