Oh crap. Kotetsu waved his hands in the air, making an alarmed noise. "No, no, no, I mean, the date--" This wasn't getting any better. "C'mooon, Bunny, let's go. Its been ages since I last took a --"
Not a girl.
"--swing at something that wasn't trying to shoot me."

"..." He arched a pale brow, flipping the top of his laptop shut again. "If you want to. Its not an obligation. ...Let's head out, then."
He abandoned his chair to snatch up his boots by the door, bracing himself against the wall as he laced them up properly.

Kotetsu pulled up a smile and clapped a hand companionably on Bunny's shoulder by the door. "That's the spirit!" Or something like that. "It'll be fine once you get the hang of it."

He closed a pale green eye in a mock wince at the tanned hand slapping his shoulder, shooting him a look with the other. "When was the last time you went anyway? You even remember how to play yourself?"
He finished lacing the trademark red boots and straightened, grabbing his jacket. He flipped the light switch- not that it made much of a difference to soft lighting Bunny used at night anyway- slipping his keys out of his pocket as he opened the door and waited for the older to man to step out first so he could lock it behind them.

"Of course I remember! Its like riding a bicycle or skating or something," he protested, ducking out of the doorway. He grabbed at his hat, settling it better on his head as he waited for Bunny to finish locking his door. He idly glanced up and down the hallway, still feeling weird about how empty it was. He wasn't even sure if Barnaby had neighbors. Who lived here other than smart-mouthed blonde heroes?

"You sure about that? ...I don't know if I'd trust you to ride a bike or skate either, at that rate." He lead the way to the elevator, crossing his arms as they waited to be dropped off in the ground floor. Then it would be Kotetsu's turn to lead the way.

"Of course I'm sure! And I've driven my side of the bike plenty of times by myself without destroying anything." He hit the side of Bunny's arm lightly as they got into the elevator, mouth set into one of his unhappy lines. "And who do you think taught my daughter how to skate?"
Down at the bottom floor, Kotetsu smoothly took the lead, taking them out onto the street and toward the nearby subway terminal.

"Did you really...?" It was hard imagining Kotetsu out on ice rink without flailing and blundering around. He quietly considered this as they headed out the door. It wasn't that the other man didn't have a good sense of balance- he'd proved he did, clearly, on multiple occasions. Ice skating just seemed too...calm. Quiet. Serene.
He smiled unseen at the other man's back. Kotetsu couldn't do anything without making it entertaining. ...Annoying. He meant annoying.
He swiped his all-access pass for the subway ticket. "How far?"

"Of course I did! She was so cute when she was little holding on to papa's hand." There was that oddly quiet, fond smile he reserved purely for talking about his daughter. Or when he had her on the phone, tucked into a corner and talking animatedly with her about her day. It left him in a pleased mood for most of the walk down.
At the turnstyle, Kotetsu dug his pass out from his back pocket and swiped it, tucked inside his wallet, over the hotspot, taking only a moment to orient himself from the nearby signs before heading for the line that would take them downtown. "Hmm, if its where I remember it, not too far. Its behind some buildings on a main strip."

"Don't remind me we're relying on your memory, we all know how trustworthy that is..." He slides after him through the turn style, taking note of their surroundings as they moved in case this lead to going in circles.
"...Did you teach her how to play miniature golf, as well?"

"It's fine, its fine." He waved off Bunny's concerns with a few flaps of his hand as they made it to the right train platform. He snorted, shaking his head. "Ah, no, she was a little young for something like that. --Ah! here comes the train."
They had good timing; the train slid up to the platform just in time, and Kotetsu ducked in after the departing crowd swarmed off to grab one of the hanging bars.
He'd forgotten, though, the downside to traveling in public with Mr. I Use My Real Name And Everyone Knows My Face Barnaby. A cluster of young girls gasped and started chattering next to him as Bunny got on, and he sighed and rolled his eyes.

Bunny's eyes widened, caught off-guard at the sudden attention wandering his way and remembering why he didn't go out much even when he did have the time. He offered them a winning smile anyway before focusing his attention out the window in the hopes they wouldn't be outgoing enough to approach.
It wouldn't bother him at all, really, if he didn't know that one showing initiative could set off train reactions, and that was difficult when trying to actually get anywhere or do anything without being impolite.

Kotetsu eyed Bunny while he put on the Mr Cool act, hanging heavily on his strap to lean into Bunny's peripheral vision just enough that he knew ignoring him was no longer an option. "Hey, if you didn't learn how to play mini-golf, what the heck did you do with any of your free time? You must have done something."

Barnaby was, for a moment, honestly offended that Kotetsu's question implied there wasn't anything else one could possibly be spending free time on than mini golf. "What kind of a question is that?"
He side-glanced at the cluster of estrogen briefly, not quite sure how to answer when there was a potential audience to broadcast it to the public via texts and online postings. "...You haven't played in so long, it clearly isn't what you spend your time on either." Evaded.

"Its a perfectly normal question! Its not about mini-golf," he gave him a put out look to the side. "What do you mean, what sort of question is that. What do you do for hobbies. What are you going to do for hobbies."
