"Oye, oye, watch it, these are earned with experience." Kotetsu pointed to the corner of one eye, vaguely tempted to stick his tongue out at him.
He watched Barnaby bolt with a small amount of amusement. Nice to see the facade crack a little, no matter how hard Bunny held on to it. He shrugged as they walked inside, glancing around for the elevator up to the minigolf floors. "Its a pretty good one! And its not like there's a lot of them inside a city like this," he protested, mashing the button for up. The elevator came pretty quickly. Much to likely Barnaby's relief, there weren't many people milling about in the lobby, and the elevator was empty when they got into it. "We're already here, might as well make the best of it."

"Your purpose in life is to ruin my PR." Barnaby stated frankly as leaned back against the hand rail in the elevator. "That's the only clear explanation. A gift from god. And I keep letting you do it!"
He shakes his head at himself and rolls a shoulder, trying to relax. A few random photos weren't anything Agnes couldn't handle anyway. The elevator dinged and the small electronic voice politely announced their arrival, and he stepped out onto the mini-golf floor with a cautious curiosity.

Kotetsu angled his shoulders against the opposite side of the elevator, glancing aside as he scratched at the edge of his jaw. "Don't worry so much about it, its not like there's a lot of people around.... always about your PR! It's fine, It's fine." He waved his hand at him placatingly. "It's not like this is weird or anything---ah, here we are." He swung out of the elevator with a bright, "ta daaa," spreading one arm outward with a slight bow.
"We have arrived, young master," he quipped, straightening as he leaned back to look over the entrance. Large banner hung talking about a two-person special--of course--and beyond was a brightly light course featuring water falls and dancing fish on the walls. A young woman stood at the front desk, dressed in a bright blue pinstriped shirt with a fish pin on her breast pocket, brightly ready to greet all and sundry.

"It's not fine! You don't even have to worry about it right now because you're identity's hidden- not that you care otherwise, but some of us like to fulfill all functions of our job properly!" He dropped his am and balled a hand into a fist at his side in frustration, but Kotetsu's light spirit was hard to fight against and there was no point in arguing with a wall.
He rolled his eyes as the older man lead the way, glancing around at the decor and the greeter. "Great. At least it isn't crowded."

Erk. Kotetsu glanced away, elbows awkwardly akimbo. "See? Its not so bad."
He took the lead, drawing up a smile to give the young lady and handling the transaction instead of forcing Barnaby into it. He leaned on the counter while she rummaged behind them, and glanced over at Bunny with a slight tilt of his head to draw him over.
Time to change the subject. "You get to pick yours," he told him, pointing at the line of golf balls. There was a rainbow of colors, pale rose and dark green and fire red and everything between.

Barnaby was inspecting the floor to try and judge how dirty the place was when the young woman caught his attention.
"Ah..." He responded to Kotetsu's explanation and considered the little round things briefly before delicately picking up one of the red ones, scrutinizing it a moment before accepting his selection. It matched his boots, so.
"...Is that all?"

Kotetsu shook his head, mouth pulled into an amused line. "Gotta hit the ball with something." The woman said something and Kotetsu, caught off guard, thanked her as she handed over two little sets of cards with pencils. He joined Barnaby, a dark green ball in his other hand, and handed over one set of the par cards. "Choose a club too."
He pointed with his elbow, the only part of his arm left unoccupied, at racks near the wall with various sizes of the petite clubs.

He arched a brow. "...And what's the difference? ...Child sizes?" He chose one of the longest available. He glanced towards the cards. "You'd better not cheat just to make it look like you know what you're doing."

"There's always one that's --- you can't just choose one like that!" He stomped over, and lifted up a few--all of the large ones, he was nearly as tall as Barnaby--before settling on one with a brown handle with some measure of satisfaction. He waggled the end of it at Barnaby. "It's how long and a certain weight to it--"
Then he scowled. "Oye, oye, we haven't even started and you are already accusing me of cheating?! I would never cheat! A hero would never do that."

He rolled his eyes, shaking the golf club a little. "Then how do I pick, Old man? Does it even make a difference? What's wrong with this one?"
At the rate they were going, they would be here all night. "Just pick one for me."

"Some are luckier than others," he told him sagely, choosing a white handled one that was one of the longest for him after a bit of thought. "C'mon, the first hole is over there." He pointed the way. The one he'd picked up Barnaby was a little different, something in the weight at the bottom that actually made is swing a bit more like a pendulum.
Maybe he vaguely knew what he was doing. Or maybe he was just being Kotetsu as he lead the way down a weird sandy path to the first hole which already had a quick running water stream that needed to be hopped over.

"Luckier? You have got to be kidding." ...And yet he put back the first club and went with the one Kotetsu recommended, anyway.
Club perched over his shoulder, free hand in his pocket, he followed after the veteran-hero-gone-veteran-golfer as he approached the first hole. He cocked his head to the side as he looked at the stream and the gentle slope of the hill. "...After you."

Kotetsu tucked the score card into his vest pocket as they walked, patting it as they reached the first hole. He kicked the edge of the green square of plastic with three careful dents, and planted the end of his club down on the green. Leaning on it, he squinted down hole one, taking his sweet old time.
"Ha, watch a pro at work," he commented, sliding Bunny a sly smile, before dropping down his ball and stopping it with the edge of his foot.
Lined it up.
Focused, in a way Barnaby usually only caught in momentary flashes.
....and then, gently whacked the ball. It was all rather anticlimactic as it swung up the hill, down the green, hit the ramp, hopped over the water, and came to rest a foot away from the hole.

"..."
Barnaby slipped the club off his shoulder and rested the handle against the ground, cocking his hip and leaning on it like a cane as he waited for the old man to... stare, adjust, and stare some more.
It was sort of funny, watching him prep. He couldn't tell how 'good' or not that swing supposedly was, but it certainly didn't look that difficult.
Alright, then.
He stood where Kotetsu had and gently placed his ball on the same patch of green that was slightly worn down from its predecessors resting in the same spot. He looked at the club, looked at the ball, gripped as felt comfortable and... What was it those online tips had said? Most people always hit the ball too hard?
...-Tap-.
The ball had just enough momentum to smoothly curve up the hill, stretch up the ramp, and promptly plop right into the tiny river as if Barnaby had aimed for it.
"..."
Welp.

Kotetsu had taken a few steps back to watch, biting his tongue in a rare show of restraint as Barnaby lined up his shot. He tilted his head to one side, watching as the club swung back---forward--
"PfwahaHAhahah," Kotetsu snort laughed, the look on Bunny's face had been absolutely priceless. The laughter was cut abruptly short, and he suddenly launched himself past Bunny weilding his club like....... a club, really. "--What are you doing, just standing there?!" He hopped on to a rock edging the water, shifting his hold on the club so it was a bit more spear like, to hurried jab it into the water and hook the ball. He bit at the inside of his cheek to focus on awkwardly coaxing the ball out of the water.
He croached down, carefully snagging the red ball out of the water with a heavy sigh of relief. "There you go." He gave Bunny a sour look, holding up the wet ball between his fingers. "If you loose this, you have to pay for another one!"
