What?....What!? "What!? That..that's stupidly unthinkable!" He threw his arms up in his disbelief. "What kind of sharding idiot would...MNNNGH!" He crosses his arms, hunched a bit. Maybe thread coming to an end is not the good thing it should be. Weyrs are getting stupid. " I trust he..she's? Gotten the punishment they deserve?"
Cryth paused a moment, neck craning around to watch the two riders when T'lyle becomes upset.

"He." D'nel glances aside, scrubbing a hand through his hair. "They've been reprimanded. It's not really their fault, and I was okay at the end."
Coranth sits low in the water, considering Cryth and then following his gaze back to the beach.

"Mmhmm." He reminds himself sternly that Igen Weyr is none of his business and it doesn't concern him. Time for..a subject change. " Did you at least eat today?"
T'lyle what troubles you?
Idiots, as usual
Ah.
His dragon doesn't question him further, turning instead to snap some seawater at Coranth.

"I ate, I ate! With Coranth constantly thinking about food, it's hard not to." He takes the change of subject gladly, leaning forward on his knees. "I take care of myself. But could you just sit around all day?"
He tilts his head back to squint at the sky, quietly smiling. "Not when the sky's this good and the wind's strong."
Coranth pushes back in the water, shaking his head to get the water out of his face. With the second lid lowered against the water, his eyes were milky opals of color, and game, he shoved a wave of water back with a tail in the start of a splashing match.

Watching the cavorting dragons it comforting and his smile is mischievous when he glances at D'nel. "Being still is not my specialty."

"I didn't think it was," D'nel agrees, grinning now as he swung his feet out. "What are gathers like this side of the sea?"

T'lyle chuckles. " I imagine they're much the same as gather's in southern Boll, Ista, or Nerat. Warm! Party doesn't really get moving until the sun's low in the sky. But if you can take the heat it's much easier to haggle a trader down in the day when he's sluggish."

D'nel grinned a little harder. "Thanks for the advice, I'll keep it in mind. I've got some credits saved, maybe I'll use some." He rolled his bad shoulder carefully, unthinkingly running a hand lightly over the injury site. He was trying very hard not to scratch at it. "Party goes until the sunrise, I heard. You planning to get into any trouble?"

His smile is thin and pleased and full of trouble. He laces his fingers together, palms turned out to pop his knuckles. "It's not a manner of planning my friend, it's just a thing that happens." and then he shrugs. " And you, I hope aren't planning on much trouble. You can dance at least even with the bad arm." He looks purposefully down at D'nel's legs as if to ensure they are whole and functional."

D'nel obligingly holds his legs out for T'lyle's inspection, leaning back in his seat. "Guess I'll need to keep an eye on you, huh? So any ladies or gentlemen out to be in particular trouble?"

His eye's light up at a question he's not likely to give a real answer to. "What fun would it be to tell?" One can always assume this to mean they're on the list. "I will say...I'm going to have a lot to occupy me, I'll be to busy to be keeping an eye on /you/. So watch yourself, not everyone here is as nice as me!" Because obviously I am a beautiful example of nice!

"I told you." D'nel shifted to the edge of the rock, eyeing the distance between himself and the rocky shore. "I can take care of myself. Will you at least tell me some stories afterwards? I bet you'll have good ones."

"Oh fine I suppose I can, seeing as how you're stuffed away all day bored out of your mind. But you're not allowed to tell a soul, hear me?"
The sun beating down is beginning to bother him, he might have to drag them back soon. Healers wouldn't be pleased to have D'nel sunburned as well.
"Arm no good for the water yet I assume? ..since you're not already in it?"

It looked high.
D'nel shoved and swung out his feet, landing lightly like a feline into a crouch. Rocks shifted and settled under his feet, giving him a bit of an unsteady wobble when he straightened up to look out to the dragons caught up in a dive-and-splash fight out in the break water. He grinned a little. "Yeah. Shouldn't get it wet. Besides, I know for a fact salt water and healing wounds is such a bad combination."
He turned to glance at T'lyle over his shoulder, grin bright and hair a blonde mix that almost looked half-sun-kissed. "I'll hold you to that promise. T'lyle."

He was surprised by the jump but won't show it. "Oh but when a wound is closed the sea will do you wonders! They'll definitely recommend swimming once it heals over." He's almost distracted...almost but then mischief enters those eyes again. "Did I promise that? I don't think I ever said promise, D'nel. You might have to earn those stories."
