T'rey chuckled at the little green and the similar reaction in his blue. " I think they won't be willing to cooperate towards the greater good."

"Maybe with some convincing from the big boys?" he asked, with a wink.

There's a smirk, but before he can reply a little gold appears above his head, chittering her annoyance at him.
She was spying on you, so I thought she may as well make herself useful.
The little blue immediately curls himself close to T'rey's neck to try escaping the irritated queen's notice, while T'rey recovers from his surprise and coaxes her to his hand with soothing thoughts and a few compliments.

D'nel blinks and takes a step back, his little green arching her neck and making small noises back at the queen more than twice her own size. He reached up to calm her, one hand making a cage over her shoulders to prevent any squabbling. "Ha! She'll certainly do!"
He coaxes the green into his arms to keep her under control, allowing her to grumiply coil up against his chest while clinging to his fingers.

"She's T'lyle's." He strokes her neck and reassures her that he isn't angry and that she's beautiful and that he could use her help. If she would just be willing to help Cricket and the little green take this back somewhere safe? T'lyle's weyr would do nicely.
The queen does settle under the compliments before eyeing the bag up, slithering herself over to it to grip the strap , examine...then to start barking orders at the blue and green with an image of T'lyle's bed to go with them. Going here. Both of you listen. Help now.

The little green flutters her wings, and D'nel projects a sense of warmth and cooperation and maybe a little bit of a promise of stuffing her with meat later if she got along with the rest, and she eventually settles down enough to sulkily take off from his arms. She skated over to the back, tangling her claws in some straps and stretching out her wings.
Then the owner hit him, and he blinked. "T'lyle ended up with a gold? Ha, bet there were some disappointed holders over that!"

Cricket attached himself to the bag as well, placing the queen between himself and the green. A few more barks ordered from the gold and shortly all three and the bag were off. " I'm sure there were, but I'm sure you can imagine. T'lyle just happened to be on that particular beach at just the right time to stumble over the hatching nest. Nothing he could do obviously but try to impress one, and why not impress the queen if it'll just go wild otherwise?" Obviously T'lyle had secretly hunted the nest down and staked it out for weeks until it hatched to get only the best firelizard he could. T'rey starts moving again as he talks, through the crowd and towards the dining square.

D'nel laughed, the warm sound running just under the noise of the crowd as the two of them kept walking. Unburdened by bags or shopping, moving along together had become a lot easier, and the winery stalls were on the other end of the market. It would give them a bit of a work out. "That certainly sounds like your so very responsible brother. He's so very determined to make it seem as if he's only trouble."
His eyes sparkled and his mouth curled up at a corner. "So shockingly sensible and practical."

His smile is amused, he clearly enjoys his younger brother despite the other's complaints that he doesn't care about him and never visits. "He has a reputation to keep up, but make no mistake. He can be trouble." He lowers his voice and slows to lean closer to D'nel. "I'd bet marks he'll find a way to sample some exotic fruit tonight without a mark leaving his bag."

D'nel leaned in close in mirror, as if they were sharing dire secrets in the middle of the crowd. His hands clasped behind the small of his back, and he tilted his head to the side. The flop of hair drifted over his eyes and kissed the side of his cheek. "Hmm, you know," and he laughed again, shaking his head. "I should have thought of that! I wouldn't even be surprised."
He leaned back a little, shooting T'rey an amused look. "I hope he shares." Grin.

T'rey resumes a normal pace and posture. "He might just, if only because they're to delicate for him to save for himself."

"I think," D'nel teased out, finger tapped against his chin, "That if he manages to pull it off, he won't be able to resist letting someone know. So at the very least, some lucky lad or lady is going to get a mysterious gift tonight and T'lyle will have a very good time."
He chuckled with the thought, shoulders falling softly back. He looked over the crowd, spotted something, and smacked T'rey's arm. "Oh! Hey, I think I see the Benden Trade Tents!"
In fact along where the sands were cleared of most of t he scraggly sea grass, there was a larger tent set up flying Beden colors.

"Ah yes...that does sound like him." Luckily his thoughts are interrupted by D'nel's bap at him. He scans ahead to spot the flag and changes his course slightly to head more directly to the tent. " I do think you're right! Shall we?"

"Let's," D'nel returned with a bright grin, steering them between the streams of people into the bright innards of the Bendan tent. It was packed with people, wine flowing freely and cups shared, with long wooden tables set up with long wooden benches. People were jammed on to them, and several others were gathered by the fire pit set up at one end underneath a flap opened to released the collected smoke.
And kegs, kegs and kegs and kegs, lined the one side of the wall while novice dragon riders and Bendan weyrfolk helped holders move and pass the wine in exchange for quarter and full marks. D'nel paused, trying to spot a seat--there was a lone, barely two person space, over near a back corner. He leaned into T'rey's shoulder and pointed, not bothering to lift his voice to yell over all the talking.

A moment to take in the sights and sounds inside the tent. he wonders what D'nel likes to drink. He's not all that knowledgeable about wine himself so he'll have to pay attention. He leans a bit, gaze following to where D'nel is pointing and he nods, moving again to squeeze past people and make it to the seats.
