They make it. Eventually. It takes some finagling. A sideways scramble. A charming D'nel smile at a Brewery holder.
And they squeezed in.
D'nel manages to get attention of someone, and orders something that has the words red, dry, and fruity in it. He looks over to T'rey. "What you gettin?"

"Oh..." T'rey...does not really know enough about wine. "I don't actually get a shot at Benden that often...if you have something to recommend." There's a confusion showing about his face...he really doesn't know.

D'nel gives him a long look, and then grins. "Make that two of that."
He sits back and leans in to T'rey's shoulder. There's not much space to go in any other direction. "Sometimes the wineries appreciate knowing a bit about when a distant system is coming through," he explains, hands spreading in front of him. "So I pop over and they let me taste a little of the vintage."

He nods his understanding, grateful D'nel didn't question him on his lack of wine knowledge. And he doesn't mind at all that D'nel's leaned into him. At first the crowded tent was a bit overwhelming but...this is fine. "That's a useful thing, you do get around to just about everywhere, don't you?"

"All over," D'nel agrees, gazing off over the crowd. His fingers laced under his chin, and the edge of his mouth tipped as he slanted a look back at T'rey. "You know, I'm not normally anywhere in one place for so long outside of thread fall. You've been getting lucky finding me."

Maybe he should be embarrassed, maybe he is a bit. But his smile comes easy. "It's never that hard to find someone when you have a dragon to do the looking."

"That certainly speeds it up," D'nel agrees, laughing, brushing hair out of his eyes. The holder comes back with two mugs, setting it down in front of them with a wink. They must have run out of glass ages ago, or decided to save it for a less dangerous amount of mingling and potential accidents, and D'nel take sit up in both hands. "Does that mean you'd go looking for me, eh?"

He, uses the moment of taking his mug and rolling a taste of the wine over his tongue to give himself a second to consider his answer. "I might." He places his mug back down to give D'nel his attention, looking across at the blue rider. " Would that bother you?"

D'nel sinks on to his elbow, gaze alight, but lashes lowered. The tilt of his head causes the long strip of hair to shift, long sandy mix trailing over forehead and cheek to whisper against his chin. He sets his chin in hand, and looks at T'rey.
Looks down, looks up, and brings the edge of his mug to his mouth. Sips. Swallows. "I don't think it would bother me in the slightest."

T'rey hadn't realized he was holding his breath until he'd gotten a positive answer. He lets the breath out with an easy. "Then I shall be sure to find you." He lifts his mug again for sip while a dragon voice chuckles in his mind. I could have told you he would like you, what is not to like about you?

D'nel's smile widens, and he sets down his mug. "Would it be too mean to try to make it hard?'

His eyebrows went up but he was still smiling. "It wouldn't be mean. If you think you can fool Orsith...I don't think I'd mind a game. When I have time that is." He was normally very busy being a Wingsecond. He wondered when he would even have time to be chasing a blue around the planet.

I like games, whispered Coranth's sudden thought, eavesdropping out of curiousity as D'nel's intrigue sharpened and warmed with a mixture of pleasant surprise and a streak of wicked curiousity.
D'nel snorted at the sudden, hopeful thought. Yes, beloved. It would be a fun game.
Outside the slight distraction of his thoughts, D'nel sips wine with a pleased curl to his shoulders. "Oh, you're very busy, I know that. That adds a little bit of challenge, don't you think?"

He gave a look for the snort but his eyes went back to his cup immediately, recognizing that D'nel must have been talking to his dragon.
He brought his drink back to his mouth for a more generous drag. Considering his options. "It does." He placed his mug down, smile returning. " We'll just have to make time, I think."

Casual flirting, awkward interest, these things D'nel understood and had been expecting for a little while now. Not something like that. D'nel's eyes flicked up to T'rey's in surprise, feeling heat creeping up the back of his neck. He looked back down into his cup, hiding his face and the pleased little smile that he didn't even completely understand in the curve of his cup. "Make time? That doesn't sound too bad."
