T'rey also ends up hiding a pleased smile behind his mug, just making an agreeable noise before he can pull the cup away from his lips again. "Have you eaten yet?"

"Only hours and hours ago," D'nel acknowledges, and grinning as Coranth scolded him in his head. He brushed a hand through his hair, tossing it back. "Did you have any chance since you landed?"

" I haven't. T'lyle snatched me up the moment I was off my dragon's back to haul me around." That is a lie. Orsith sounded amused at him and all the silly business of not just saying outright what he wanted. I know dearheart, but it's just a little one.

D'nel grinned, and threw back more of the Bendan wine. He flushed a little in all the heat--surely he wasn't such a lightweight as one glass of wine would do him in, yet. "That sounds like your brother. You sound like you have something in mind?"

"Only" He lifted his glass. "That we might get another glass, then enjoy all the hospitality Monaco Bay is offering tonight."

The unusual suave gesture hits him in just the right place, the same place that the warm Bendan wine sits in after it slides down the back of his throat. He lifted his glass in turn, not yet addled enough by alcohol to do or say anything stupid, and clinks his against T'rey's with a tucked smile. "A fine plan for a hot evening. Does that mean I get you all to myself tonight?"

He sips from his cup again. Perhaps the wine is helping, or maybe it's just D'nel's positive reactions thus far. But he's relaxing and growing more confident bit by bit. "If you'd like that?"

"I always like spending the evening with a friendly face," D'nel said, somewhat amused at the careful clarification. He'd heard only a few things about T'rey, but shyness had never been one of them. He'd been intrigued by it, and now moreso then ever as he arched a brow at him. "I don't mind meeting new people, but you're good company."

"Well, I suppose we never know who we might run across." He smiled. "But I'll stick with you."
Maybe in the future, if things go well that is, he'll tell D'nel he was a deciding factor in coming here in the first place.

T'rey's smile shouldn't have sent that startled shiver down his back, but it did. D'nel tossed back the last of his mug of wine, letting the liquid roll over his tongue and stain the edges of his mouth red. "I'm glad you came down to Monaco Bay, T'rey," he says, and the words are warm as he stretches up in his seat to flag down refills for both to them.

"As am I." He says, lifting his now empty mug when a server walks near enough to notice him.
As am I, the sands are warm. May we stay until tomorrow. I would very much like a bath in the ocean. We'll see, dear heart. We'll see.
He turns questioning eyes on D'nel when the server come to refill his mug. "Another?"

"One more before we find something to eat." D'nel winks and lifts his refilled mug to his lips, taking his time to enjoy the famous product of Benden. He didn't have the chance nearly often enough to stop by up there, even if the mountains caused a fun effect on passing storms. D'nel seemed familiar enough with wine, but whether or not his tolerance, or his control of his tolerance, matched remained to be seen that evening.
Coranth is a distant, pleased hum in the back of his thoughts, satiated on meat and lolling in the warm sands like a great lazy lout. The mindset seeped into him from his subconcious, making him lazy and easy, and the warmth from the alcohol and the heat of the place brought out a warm flush to his face and made his eyes brighter.

" That sounds good to me." T'rey said before lifting his own mug back to his mouth. He was enjoying himself, it's been some time since he really spent time with someone like this. He won't give D'nel a chance to dig out any marks when it's time to move along, passing his money to their server as soon as he comes by again.
It's relieving to get out of the crowded tent and into the cooling evening air on their way down to the roasting pits and the square. He gets only a contented sleepy rumble from Orsith when he feels out to him. The Bronze had joined Cryth in a warm sandy wallow to get a nap in before the music really began in full swing. he wouldn't want to miss the music.
"Do you dance, D'nel?"

Outside, the sky stretches black velvet, the stars sifting through despite the heavy glow of lanterns, open fires, and glows set out to light the way of the merry makers that will continue their fun well late into the night. In the morning, aching heads and bodies will be testament to the chance to let loose a little and indulge, and D'nel thinks he's looking forward to being one of them.
He doesn't usually get too tipsy at these things. Coranth is sympathetic but amused whenever he's drunk, and complains about the ache in his head being nothing compared to D'nel's gentle teases over his occasional aching stomach. T'rey encourages a good time, somehow; he kinda wants to impress him, and D'nel never thinks about or cares about impressing anyone.
Its just a passing fling, maybe, he tells himself, its not serious, he's a good looking guy and you've got him tonight.
Coranth's thoughts are flavoured with amusement and bafflement at how he tries to deceive himself.
D'nel draws in a deep lungful of cool air and lists in T'rey's direction out in the common area.
"Not often," he admits, laughing, "But I'm told I'm pretty good at not stepping on my partner's toes."

He chuckles. "Well that's good then, I won't have to worry about tripping over you.
His evening seems to be going well so far, he has good company and just enough wine in him to put him at ease. The eating area isn't far and T'rey even manages to find them a place to sit that isn't to packed. The music hasn't swung the way of inviting dancers out to the floor yet, but a few harpers are on hand, playing things quiet enough to eat by.
